Guest Coordinator
Position Summary
The Guest Coordinator main functions are to assist in overseeing the overall Host operation of the restaurant as the entire host team are the brand ambassadors of the company. This person must have excellent leadership skills and an ability to delegate responsibilities to meet expectations for quality.
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Overseeing the host staff, running reservation operations, and developing and maintaining effective avenues of communication with various teams throughout the restaurant
• Positively affect the guest experience through effective troubleshooting, anticipation of needs and clear communication
• Assisting with guest and employee conflict resolution while always maintaining an approachable and professional demeanor
• Utilize table manager system to coordinate accurate seating throughout the restaurant, reservations and wait times
• Performing host duties as required (answering phone, taking messages, making reservations, seating guests, menu inventory etc.)
• Provide support and develop the host team such as improving one’s job knowledge, providing clear expectations and overall performance
• Actively participates in the company's social media program by posting/sharing company fliers to personal social media accounts, if available
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned
About You
• Must have experience in Lead Host/ Guest Coordinator position
• Must have Weekend availability; Able to work varied hours (including holidays)
• The ideal candidate is passionate, vibrant, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing superb guest service
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests)
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously standing during the entire shift. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; stoop; bend; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
