ArcGNO is currently recruiting an Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader.

Summary of Responsibilities: 

The Grounds Maintenance DSP's primary function is to support participants with disabilities in completing specified work tasks in accordance with assigned contracts. The DSP will also support the participant in building job skills, monitor the quality of work performed, and transport the participants to work sites. 

Starting Pay: $13.00  

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM and Sunday 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM  

Essential Functions: 

  • Serves as an active skill-builder for all grounds mobile crew participants, while proactively identifying areas for growth. Utilizes positive behavior support and task analysis philosophies to support participants in developing new skills that will increase autonomy in their employment and life goals. 
  • Fulfills contract specifications to a high standard of quality and efficiency for assigned grounds contracts. Supervises and supports members of their mobile crew in fulfilling contract specifications safely and adequately. 
  • With guidance from the Lead Grounds DSP and Program Coordinator, prioritizes contract completion based on the needs of external stakeholders, previously missed contractual obligations, and/or inadequately completed contracts.
  • Maintains timely and accurate documentation pertaining to the completion of contracts, weekly progress notes for participants, and participant timesheets. Submits documentation to the Program Coordinator for review and approval. 
  • Keeps grounds equipment in good working condition. Reports any identified equipment needs to the Lead Grounds DSP and Program Coordinator. 
  • Ensures the safe and proper handling of all grounds equipment by their mobile crew participants. Supports participants in completing annual equipment and safety training. 
  • Provides proper supervision to mobile crew participants at all times and ensures that individuals with disabilities are never left unsupervised. 
  • Transports mobile crew participants to and from work sites, in accordance with transportation safety policies and procedures. Maintains timely and accurate transportation documentation. 
  • Knows and carries out the published policies of the agency.
  • May be required to perform other non-specified duties.

Required Qualifications: 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and clean driving record
