Groomer Operator (Seasonal)
Job Summary
Granlibakken Tahoe is seeking a skilled and dependable Groomer Operator to maintain our small ski and sledding hill, along with our scenic cross-country ski trails. This is a hands-on, outdoor position ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values safety, and takes pride in creating exceptional snow surfaces for guests of all ages. This is a seasonal position starting around December 15th 2025 & ending around April 15th 2026.

Responsibilities
- Operate snow grooming equipment (e.g., snowcat, snowmobile, tracksetter) to maintain and prepare the sled hill, beginner ski hill, and XC ski trails.
- Perform nightly and/or early morning grooming shifts as needed to ensure surfaces are ready for daily use.
- Monitor weather, snow conditions, and terrain to determine grooming strategies.
- Maintain safe, inviting, and fun conditions for beginner skiers, sledders, and XC skiers.
- Inspect and maintain grooming equipment; perform light maintenance or report major issues.
- Coordinate with snowmaking, ski operations, and guest services teams to ensure cohesive mountain operations.
- Keep accurate records of grooming operations and conditions.
- Assist with snow removal, trail signage, fencing, and other mountain operations tasks as required.
Pay Range
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Qualifications
Required:

Experience operating grooming equipment such as snowcats or snowmobiles (or willingness to be trained).

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience grooming cross-country trails or small ski hills.

Knowledge of XC tracksetting techniques and terrain park grooming (if applicable).

CPR/First Aid certification.
