Grinder/Material Handler

A great company in Montebello is seeking Grinder/Material Handlers with some experience as a Machine Operator.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle assorted raw materials, steel parts, and steel scrap.
• Grind, polish, sand and sharpen welded parts to ensure conformance to established customer needs. 
• Operate small electric/air hand tools.
• Perform light maintenance on plant equipment where needed, i.e., startup/shutdown, maintain inspection records and keep work environment clean.
• Participate in and support continuous process improvements.
• Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety work rules.
• On occasion, cross-train and operate some or all of the following production equipment: welding robot, press brake, spot welder, turret, rivet gun, stud gun, and wide-belt sander
• Assist with weld kitting of parts

Qualification:

• 1 year grinding experience a plus
• Read documents such as blue prints and work orders
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form

Starting pay is $22.00/hour 

Schedule: Monday to Friday in 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) + OT and must be able to work two Saturdays out of the month.
