Greens Electric is seeking an Accountant or Bookkeeper who is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor or has extensive experience. Extensive experience with adjusting journal entries and account reconciliation.

The ability to multi-task with a diverse group of tax and accounting clients. Applicant must possess strong communication skills and tax problem-solving skills. Located in Kingman AZ, Bullhead City AZ, Lake Havasu AZ, or Fort Mohave AZ. 


Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall development and execution of strategies that will support, strengthen, and grow the hotels and organization as a whole including:

  • Driving service excellence
  • Assist team members including the General Manager with inventory optimization
  • Developing and executing action plans to improve P & L performance
  • Work effectively with team members within Accounting and across departments to effect changes and complete special projects required as part of company-wide goals and objectives
  • Assists co-team members and internal customers with financial information
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by reviewing current processes for automation, consolidation or re-engineering
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting service department
  • Record and Update Daily Purchase Orders, Item Receipts, Purchase Bills and reconcile with Vendor Payments
  • Record and Update Daily Sales Orders, Sales Invoice and Reconcile with Customer receipts
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Perform account reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Collaborate with auditors during financial audits
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff


Must-Have Qualifications

  • QuickBooks Pro Advisor with 3 years or more experience
  • Proficient in adjusting journal entries and account reconciliation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Five or more years of Accounting and Bookkeeping experience required


Primary Functions

  • Prepare and record journal entries per established policy related to assigned entities
  • Inventory management – Billing, collection and all aspects retain operations of a distribution business
  • Assist the leadership team in performing monthly closings process
  • Prepare monthly accruals and JE to ensure an accurate reporting of all financial information
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met and all deliverables are completed with a high-quality product
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations related to assigned area of responsibility
  • Ensure all schedules are completed timely and efficiently
  • Verify that all reconciling items are researched and resolved promptly
  • Filing and maintaining accounting records to include but not limited to Journal Entries and Balance sheet reconciliations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in debits/credits and account reconciliation
  • Experience with accounting software’s (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Prior experience in public accounting is a plus
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts

 

Performance Standards

Performance shall be measured by achievement of the:

  • Timely & accurate Federal, State, and local tax, regulatory and filing requirements
  • Timely and accurate Filing of Period, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Reporting
