The role of the Golf Course Maintenance Laborer is to perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance, as well as general landscaping around the property. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
  • Operating mowers and string trimmers in trimming greens, aprons, tees, around trees, banks and hillsides; edges cart paths; edges, rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
  • Setting tee markers and cups on greens daily; maintains ball washers, replaces tee towels and flags when needed; removing debris; sanding and seeding of tee and drop area divots.
  • Maintaining fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis and reporting equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately.
  • Watering and fertilizing of tees, greens and fairways and under the supervision of a certified applicator, sprays chemicals on landscaped areas.
  • Helping in project work such as assisting in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways; grading and preparing soil base; laying sod; and seeding tees, greens and fairways.
  • Inform supervisor of equipment malfunction.
  • When directed by golf course superintendent, perform work involving large equipment such as tractors, loaders, and gang mowers.
  • Must be able to lift at least a minimum of 50 lbs. 

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred
  • 1+ year grounds keeping or related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in using manual and power tools safely.
  • Free from allergies that interfere with Groundskeeper duties.
