Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Overall responsibility for executing of the fabrication of Gloveboxes. Safely maintain customer requirements of Quality, Productivity, Cost and Schedule
  • Oversee and lead our team of employees responsible for the daily fabrication of gloveboxes
  • Ensure gloveboxes are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer quality requirements including ASME NQA standards
  • Ability to navigate project challenges or changes as needed, while maintaining excellent customer relations
  • Work with the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager to provide customer updates as needed on project
  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful execution of the project
  • Provide strategic feedback to the senior leadership team as applicable
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the fabrication personnel responsible for the day-to-day fabrication activities. Provide the necessary tools as well as ensure a safe and clean work environment. Foster a culture of inclusion and growth for the team.
  • Review and understand project drawings, specifications, and requirements
  • Communicate progress to the customer, internal stakeholders, and management
  • Assist PM with preliminary and final schedules
  • Identify fabrication issues and supply issues early and feedback loop to PM for speedy resolution
  • Promote and actively embrace the concept of professionalism, with an emphasis on quality, commitment, integrity, ingenuity, teamwork, the community, and the environment
  • Safety is a deeply rooted cultural value and it must be promoted and enforced at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the areas of fabrication/construction, DOE/DOD, or commercial nuclear is preferred
  • Glovebox experience is strongly preferred
  • Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to become proficient with other software as needed
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints
  • Must be able to understand and manage budgets
  • Must be able to direct and lead a diverse team for project success. Team will include electrical and instrument technicians, industrial mechanics, welders, packaging/crating 
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or more up to 25 pounds

All candidates must be able to pass a drug test, pre-employment physical, and background investigation.

Job Type & Compensation

On site, full-time, salaried, exempt

10 hour shift, 4 days per week, overtime as necessary

Compensation based on experience
