Lexima is seeking an experienced, results driven, leader to fill the critical role of General Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Denison/Sherman/At Texoma Event Center.


The responsibilities of a General Manager include overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, financial performance, and staff development. The GM provides strategic direction and leadership across all departments, ensuring the property operates in alignment with brand standards, legal regulations, and financial goals.


Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Sales.
  • Ensure high standards of service quality, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and brand compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of daily operations and make improvements as needed.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure revenue targets and cost controls are met.
  • Oversee forecasting, P&L review, labor management, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Hire, train, and mentor department heads and key personnel.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and guest service excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and manage staff development plans.
  • Collaborate with sales and revenue teams to drive occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
  • Implement marketing strategies to maximize visibility and business growth.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, event planners, and tourism partners.
  • Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Monitor guest feedback channels (e.g., reviews, surveys) and respond professionally.
  • Champion a guest-centric culture throughout the property.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as brand policies.
  • Oversee property security, workplace safety, and emergency response protocols.
  • Maintain proper licenses and operational certifications.

Qualifications 

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business preferred. 

  • Previous General Manager experience is preferred. 

  • 2-5 years as Assistant General Manager or other hotel management role required.  

  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and hotel management systems. 

  • Effective oral and written communication skills. 

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as the hours for this management position will vary.
