Cody’s Original Roadhouse is a beloved Florida-based casual dining chain known for its laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere, hearty American fare, ice-cold drinks, and outstanding guest service. We serve hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, and made-from-scratch sides—all with a side of Southern hospitality.
We’re looking for a high-energy, experienced, and people-focused General Manager (GM) to lead one of our locations and bring our “just plain good food” philosophy to life.
Position Summary
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations and performance of your Cody’s location. This includes team leadership, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience that aligns with Cody’s brand and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee daily restaurant operations including food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest experience.
- Hire, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing front-of-house and back-of-house team.
- Set the tone for a fun, professional, and guest-first culture that reflects Cody’s values.
Guest Service
- Ensure every guest receives an exceptional Cody’s experience from greeting to goodbye.
- Resolve guest complaints quickly and professionally to maintain loyalty.
Financial & Business Performance
- Manage budgets, labor, and food costs to drive profitability.
- Analyze P&L statements, inventory, and other reports to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement marketing promotions and local store initiatives to increase traffic and sales.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food sanitation regulations.
- Maintain brand standards in food quality, service, and appearance.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of GM experience in a full-service or casual dining restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage operations, control costs, and drive sales.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Florida Food Manager Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
