Structural Truss Systems specializes in the design, manufacturing, and transportation of custom roof trusses, floor systems, and wall panels for every size of residential, commercial, and agricultural projects. We operate out of over 38,000 square feet of manufacturing facility in Fort MacLeod, AB, just 25 minutes west of Lethbridge, AB.
We are currently looking to hire the following position in our Structural Truss Systems facility.
Role: Builder/General Labourer
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift: Dayshift
Your role as the Builder/General Labourer includes assembling trusses and building material components. Processes include positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts and use of both hand and power tools in an indoor manufacturing shop environment.

- Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and hazards.
- Will always properly use all the required PPE (hi-vis vest, safety glasses, earplugs, CSA-approved work boots, etc.).
- Take ownership of your work, ensuring precision and durability in every component built.
- Assemble truss building components in accordance with company procedures, standard work operating procedures, and as instructed by the Lead Hand.
Key Requirements of the Job:
- Stand, walk, bend, and stretch for 8–10-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.
- Lift, push, and pull 50-75 lbs repeatedly.
- Use hands for grasping, handling, and precision work.
- Stay alert and focused while operating machinery.
- Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
