Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)
1. The ability to perform inspection on material prior to processing: measurement of thickness, width, length, and visual examination of irregularities such as out of flatness that could result in damage to equipment.
2. A person to be physically able to stand for long periods of time, to perform repetitive motions and lift up to 40 pounds, which includes the shoveling of slag.
3. A person to be able to read inspection tools including a tape measure and micrometers.
4. Furnace Operators must be able to perform Brinell Hardness inspection for in-process and final acceptance.
5. A person to have the ability to operate lift trucks and overhead cranes.
6. Operator to be able to operate equipment efficiently and maintain a level of acceptable part quality per internal and customer part specifications.
7. The ability to comprehend and learn to light burners, prime pumps, operate filter systems, clean filters, and understand HT operation, including computer controls, complete machinery inspect forms, and accurately identify plates, and complete HT logs.
8. The individual to record all process parameters into controllers, pc, and Epicor LP systems including proper tagging and tracking of plates with accurate heat and plate numbers.
9. May require lifting up to 50lbs. Max.
10. May require long periods of standing and/or repetitive motions, start, stop, bending, etc... for long periods of time
11. Will require ability to visual and audile concentration to perform duties safely
12. Employee must participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process
13. This position resides in a manufacturing environment of which exposure to noise, dust, heat & cold temperatures may exist
14. Attention to cleanliness of their work station and following all company safety rules and guidelines are necessary
