Job Title: Fundraising & Development Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Development and Engagement assists with a broad range of administrative, fundraising, marketing, membership, grants, outreach, special events, and development activities as deemed appropriate to further the objectives of the Development Department. Coordinates and assists with the receipt of all donations and special event ticket sales including making deposits, invoicing donor accounts, ensuring proper recognition and correspondence, maintaining comprehensive donor files, preparing deposits, data entry and record keeping.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist the DDE in all aspects of the Department
2. As a member of the development team, provide support and/or take the lead for grants, special events, marketing and membership and other development events/needs as assigned.
3. Assist with processing all donations accurately and in a timely manner. Ensures data in Daxko and Excel spreadsheets are accurate, may assist with preparing funds for deposit and transmits to all other programs to ensure accurate donor records.
4. Manages/Assists with Daxko system/donor database, including maintenance, gift entry, reporting, queries, and data cleanup projects.
5. Ensure that timely invoices are generated to donors based on yearly pledges.
6. Generates timely gift acknowledgement letters for the signature of Association officers.
7. Develops processes and is actively involved in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gift prospects. Maintains database resource file on top prospects and donors.
8. Assist with coordinating association fundraising marketing development, annual campaign and en- dowment programs.
9. Support and help coordinate proposals for grants from government sources and private founda- tions.
10. Verifies payroll deduction on staff pledges.
11. Researches prospective donors as required.
12. Recruit volunteer involvement at all levels of financial development.
13. Attends required risk management training.
14. Other Duties as assigned or necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
1. Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
2. Fluency in Daxko preferred. A minimum of four years of database related experience.
3. Experience to continually improve data accuracy including standardizing data codes designating campaigns, funds and appeals.
4. Must have demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to all constituents.
5. Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects is essential.
6. Solid oral and written skills with the ability to write reports, letters and business correspondence.
7. Proficient with numbers, basic math, cash handling and entry-level bookkeeping practices.
8. Must be detail oriented with a strong work ethic and integrity.
9. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel & mail merge is essential.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Salary:
