Fund Development Assistant

The Fund Development Assistant is a member of the Resource Development Team and provides administrative support to assist in the resource development campaigns and projects in each of the counties the Coalition serves.


Resource Development

 Provide prospect and donor research to Coalition staff and volunteers as needed for the purpose of ensuring that resource development lists and donor profiles that the Coalition uses are current, accurate, and as complete as possible.

2.       Post donations daily into E-Tapestry and generate appropriate thank you notes the same day as the gift was received.

3.       Reconcile E-Tapestry entries to QuickBooks entries and ensure accuracy immediately following month end.

4.       Generate monthly contribution reports by county, by program, by constituency, and by donors.  Have these available for presentation to the organization’s various boards.

5.       Develop materials for various fundraising events or campaigns.

6.       Design and prepare special event or campaign reports, tracking both income and related expenses.

7.       Conduct research into potential funding sources as well as data and issue-related information for grant proposals.

8.       Maintain current data on donors; research news media for related information and add to database.

9.       Develop reports for the County Chapter Boards, assist Executive Director in meeting preparation, attend Chapter meetings and take minutes.

10.   Work closely with the Executive Director and Chapter Board on any development campaigns or fundraising events. Conduct research, provide prospect data, maintain progress reports, and help to plan and organize events.

2.       Attend appropriate training workshops and conferences.

3.       Attend organizational staff meetings and other meetings upon request.

4.       Abide by and meet all applicable grant requirements and objectives.

5.       Maintain confidentiality of and privacy of donors and service recipients.

6.       Meet other needs as identified by the Executive Director and/or Management Team.

7.       Ensure Executive Director is made aware of issues that may affect the Coalition.

 

Requirements

 High school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

2.       SC SLED Criminal Record, Sex Offender Registry, and DSS Central Registry clearance.

3.       Valid SC Driver’s license.

4.       Experience in resource development

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

1.       Fundamental knowledge of family violence and sexual assault.

2.       Excellent oral and written communication skills.

3.       Have and maintain a good driving record (verified by DMV report at time of hire), a reliable vehicle, and proof of liability insurance.

4.       Experience in E-Tapestry- Donor Database System.

5.       Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Office365.

6.       Experience with graphics software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is desirable.

7.       Experience in Bulk Mailing.
