Full-Time Night Dispatcher

We are currently seeking to hire a full-time dispatcher for our Hammond, LA location. Job duties would include answering phone calls, setting up and entering loads into our transportation software, dispatching loads to drivers, and closing out loads. Must be able to relay/coordinate messages via text, telephone, email, and various logistical software.

Job Expectations:

• Efficiently execute logistical changes in order to accomplish all loads order.
• Responsible for the location of all vehicles and timeliness of all deliveries to prevent runouts.
• Ensure dispatch for the day is properly planned to maximize sales, customer satisfaction, capacity, and driver pay.
• Manage reports to avoid service failures and minimize expense in the operation.
• Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction by building relationships with customers and overseeing their freight needs.

An ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

• Trucking knowledge.
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem solve efficiently under pressure.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team player.
• Open availability for scheduling – nights and weekends are a must.
