About the Role

We are looking for a DBA to join our Technology team. In this role, you will:

  • Perform database management activities using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Analyze, design, and review logical and physical data models
  • Support the application system development life cycle.
  • Perform data analysis and correction activities
  • Review stored procedures and recommend improvements to enhance performance
  • Monitor database performance and space requirements and give recommendations to improve
  • Help maintain database access security and database integrity
  • Ensure databases are backed up appropriately and can be restored if necessary
  • Assist with database server infrastructure and software analysis and recommendations
  • Create and maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and operations
  • Keep current with the features of new database releases and related database products and make recommendations as to their use
  • Make recommendations on best practices and improvements surrounding database administration practices
  • Use strong communication skills; both written and spoken. 

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or other relevant field OR equivalent work experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in a DBA role, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of database management using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
  • Proven expertise in optimizing database queries in SQL
  • Track record of successful troubleshooting and resolving database issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data issues, and connectivity problems
