Front Desk Overnight Auditor
About Us: At the Canopy by Hilton located in Downtown Ithaca, NY, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Night Auditor to join our team.
Job Description: As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for managing the hotel’s front desk during overnight hours. Your primary duties will include reconciling daily financial transactions from the hotel and Strand Cafe, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a smooth overnight operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nightly audits of financial transactions and ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports for management.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs, addressing any inquiries or issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Assist with reservations and provide information about hotel services.
- Monitor hotel security and ensure the safety of guests and property.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hotel front desk or accounting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
