Host/Hostess for Holiday Season
Moxy Charlotte is looking for a Host/Hostness for a Holiday pop-up bar that runs through January. Ideally this candidate is seasonal or part time. Potential to turn into full time depending on preference and performance. This person is responsible for assisting the bartenders in providing the highest quality service possible to guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation.
Responsibilities
Use reservation system to greet and seat guests to Holiday pop-up bar
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately
Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure timely service
Keep all work areas clean and properly stocked
Keep all tables cleaned and properly set according to property specific standards.
Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room area according to established standards.
Assist servers by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and promptly resolving any guest requests.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side-work checklist.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Prior labor-intensive work experience preferred.
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Attention to cleanliness and safety.
Must be fluent in English.
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 50lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to stand during the entire 8-hour shift.
