Food & Beverage Manager (Seasonal)
Position Overview:
Oversee the operations of multiple seasonal kitchens, ensuring exceptional food quality, service, and profitability throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for food service management, capable of handling the unique challenges of a seasonal operation while maintaining year-round efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and creativity to drive continuous improvement in our food and beverage services, including during the off-season.

Whale’s Tale Waterpark is part of the NH-Fun Family of attractions, which is made up of Alpine Adventures, South Peak Base Camp, and Whale’s Tale Waterpark, all located in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Whale’s Tale is known worldwide as a leading park in terms of innovation, quality, and safety. It offers wholesome family experiences that cater to a wide variety of ages. Put simply; we provide legendary experiences to tens of thousands of visitors annually. With two restaurants, two bars, and special events and parties, the F&B program serves the Whale’s Tale guests from early June through Labor Day. This seasonal Manager position will start in April and end in October, with flexibility around other seasonal work start and finish dates.

Safety & Risk Management:

Implement and monitor safety protocols within the kitchens

Conduct regular safety audits and training

Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld

Work with Administration to understand and comply with all local, State, and Federal regulations.

Team Leadership & Development:

Recruit, train, develop, and oversee the kitchen staff

Provide performance feedback based on communicated goals and expectations

Work with the Bar Managers to ensure the F&B team is cohesive

Daily Operations Management:

Ensure adequate daily scheduling

Consistent equipment and food inspections
-
Ensure operational compliance and resolve challenges
-
Ordering products and ensuring the establishment has adequate supply based on projected business levels

Opening and closing each venue before and after the operating season.
