Shifts: 7a-3p

Days: Rotating Schedule

Weekends: Every other weekend

Your Role in the Company

Floor Technician The primary purpose of the Floor Technician position is to perform assigned floor care functions based on the facility’s standards and procedures as directed by your supervisor and the Housekeeping department.

Elements of the Position

  • Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible. 
  • Coordinate daily floor cleaning services with nursing and performing routine cleaning assignment.
  • Clean up spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as observed or directed. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use. 
  • Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing and burnishing, disinfecting in order to maintain a high gloss finish on all hard floors.
  • Clean vacant rooms and general areas as assigned.
  • Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
  • Routinely check corners and edgings, ensuring they are kept dust free. 
  • Ensure baseboards are kept free of wax.
  • Turn in all found or unclaimed articles to your supervisor.

Salary: Based on experience

Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
