Our Dock Auditor & Floor Supervisor critical to maintaining this high level of performance and success. Brown-Eagle is currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual with supervisory experience to join our Baton Rouge team.
Position SummaryThe Dock Auditor & Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and timely shipment and packaging, and leading hourly personnel with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The role includes daily oversight of warehouse workflows, audits, forklift operation, inventory management, and frontline leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Work Safely. Follow all company safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Plan and direct work for a team of 6 – 8 hourly employees engaged in loading/unloading of supplies and/or finished product, put away of packaged (palletized) products and order picking.
- Conduct daily shift meetings which include safety topics, shipping, housekeeping and organizational goals.
- Verify accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipment are correct 100% of the time:
- Verify the right load goes into the correct trailer.
- Verify labels match the delivery note and the batch/material match.
- Verify right quantity is loaded
- Use counting tool
- Verify the pallets/drums/bags are not damaged.
- Periodically make rounds to assure productive performance and coordinate with Site Manager to ensure employees are working productively and effectively.
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development.
- Communicate equipment maintenance, supply, manpower needs, and process improvement ideas to Site Manager.
- Keep track of and report paperwork errors, labeling errors.
- Keep the shipping log book.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean (trash is emptied when full or every other day at a minimum); floor is free of debris.
- Ensure warehouse cleaning rotation is followed and that warehouse team is following through on the cleaning schedule.
- Assign and follow up on cleaning audits.
- Assign/perform forklift pre-startup checklist audits.
- Operate forklift.
- Conduct weekly inventory counts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proven ability to follow and enforce safety protocols
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Effective problem-solving and time management abilities
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Legible handwriting for audit documentation
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of forklift operation experience
- At least 2 years in a leadership or floor lead role
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
