We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team to lead the forecasting and commercial analysis of the business. This is an opportunity to take everything you have learned in your career and apply it within a fast paced, high growth company. 

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role serves as the FP&A lead with a primary focus on partnering with the Sales and Marketing teams. While acting as the key finance business partner for commercial functions, the role also oversees the broader FP&A cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, by coordinating inputs from the Operations FP&A team. 

This is a dynamic and hands-on role requiring successful candidates to demonstrate critical thinking, demonstrates flexibility and resourcefulness in addressing complex situations, and the ability to succeed in fast-paced environments. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Support the execution of the full FP&A cycle by coordinating key inputs from Sales & Marketing, with a focus on ensuring alignment across budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities. 

  • Liaise with Operations FP&A and other stakeholders to gather and validate financial inputs, helping to build a cohesive and accurate P&L view under the direction of the Finance Director. 

  • Develop and synthesize reporting and analysis related to commercial performance, contributing insights that support senior leadership decision-making within the company’s broader FP&A framework. 

  • Design, manage, and continuously improve data structures, reporting tools, and financial analysis processes to ensure scalability, accuracy, and real-time insight generation. 

  • Drive financial insights to fuel product innovation and strategic partnerships. 

  • Create and leverage FP&A tools to foster stronger collaboration with commercial teams, driving alignment and improving decision-making across departments 

  • Strengthen financial discipline by maintaining robust internal controls and driving process standardization across FP&A activities. 

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by the business. 

  • Lead and mentor a direct report, fostering professional growth, accountability, and a collaborative team culture. 

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting or related field preferred. 

  • Preferably at least 5 years of finance experience in the cannabis industry or multinational CPG companies. 

  • Strong computer literacy with advanced level Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivots, advanced formulas) and database management (e.g. SQL) 

  • Detail oriented person with strong analytical skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively  

  • Acts with a strong sense of urgency & accountability 

  • Displays self-initiative to identify issues, and to operate independently 

  • Creative problem solving to business issues and is motivated by seeking process improvement 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with a variety of people at different levels within the organization 

  • Previous experience in the cannabis industry is a strong asset.
