Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for performing basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. The field technician will travel to meet customers and work on their equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman or senior technicians.

*Duties/Responsibilities:*

• Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment
• Does not work in shop. Travels to meet customers.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintains current knowledge of Kubota Equipment and allied products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Accounts for all time on a timecard and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
• Ability to use a computer effectively for service related tasks.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Able to work overtime and on Saturdays.
• Forklift certification and current CDL preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities (special tools provided by Service Dept.)
• Experience in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Experience with basic computer functions.
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes.
• Must be cleared by background check

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and short periods of working in slightly awkward positions.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1-year related experience required.
