We are seeking an experienced Field Services Operations Manager to lead and develop our technician and service coordinator teams while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role is responsible for onboarding, training, and supervising field service staff, ensuring safe and efficient field execution, and driving operational excellence within our service networks. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator, strong leader, and strategic problem solver with the ability to oversee multiple field operations and prioritize business profitability.

This position will located at the George E. Booth Headquarters in Greenwood Indiana with frequent travel to customer locations. 10-20% of overnight travel may be required. A clean driving record is required. This role comes with a competitive compensation plan and as well as excellent benefits.

Field Service Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead onboarding, training, and management of technicians and service coordinators.
  • Grow the field service team by interviewing and hiring qualified candidates who fit our company culture.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve goals and drive growth in the service business.
  • Establish clear expectations for on-site responsibility and day to day operations of the field service team.
  • Support large-scale plant start-up and turnaround projects.
  • Improve operational processes such as quoting, invoicing, scheduling,  and equipment partners relationships.
  • Optimize technician utilization to maximize efficiency and profitability. 
  • Review monthly P&L statements to ensure business profitability.
  • Maintain compliance with internal and customer required safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Field Service Operations Manager

  • Associates degree (or equivalent) with 5–7 years of related operations or field service management experience.
  • Strong technical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge current safety standards and associated PPE.
  • Understanding of  industrial process control instrumentation, valves, and gas detection.
  • Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise required, especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
  • Must be willing to travel locally and have a clean driving record.
