About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative to expand our customer network by recruiting new members to our company. This role is crucial to our continued growth and offers a unique opportunity to build relationships with key players in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and qualify potential new members within a defined territory.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits of joining our company.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the lumber and building materials market, including competitor offerings.
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective customer’s, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, etc.) to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for new members.
  • Maintain records of efforts based on internal recruitment goals.
  • Attend company trade shows and events.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in business development, preferably in the lumber and building materials industry or a related field (e.g., construction, wholesale distribution).
  • Experience in customer recruitment or business development is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the building materials supply chain and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with potential customers.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
