Federal Admin Assistant
Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria VA, is seeking a qualified and available Administrative Assistant to support the Department of Homeland security in washington, D.C. The position is full-time, Hybrid and long term.
Scope:
- Maintain and manage documents and tasks in SharePoint;
- Prepare Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and related documents to track project status etc.;
- Track the status of a wide range of projects and provide regular status updates;
- Track the status of documents through the review and edit process to ensure timely completion;
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms
- Demonstrate continued and progressive knowledge of administrative tasks required for a large agency
- Skill in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe, (Data Entry)
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace
- Ability to create and maintain neat, orderly, complete documents and project files (records management)
- Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote team members
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt as necessary to changing demands
- Ability to conduct a high degree of independent research as needed.
- Administer Time and Attendance (T&A) System, including updates to profiles, password resets, etc.;
- Advise timekeepers and employees and troubleshoot Web Time & Attendance (WebTA);
- Compile briefing books including compiling information/materials, photocopying of material, organizing materials by day or topic, creating table of contents, creating reference sheets and conducting background research on specific topics;
- Research, write and edit SOP’s for streamlining of office work processes and procedures.
- Respond to requests for information from federal employees and the general public;
- Assist with gathering data and compiles information from agency files or databases for use by a federal staff in preparing responses for a wide range of tasks.
- Compile information from various agency files or databases in response to requests for information from federal employees and the general public;
- Conduct detailed data analysis to assess the root causes of pay issues and identify patterns or trends that may contribute to inaccuracies, examining payroll data, employee records, and historical pay information to gain insights into potential sources of discrepancies;
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified pay issues and prevent recurrence, adjusting payroll records, recalculating compensation amounts, or making necessary updates to employee profiles in NFC to reflect accurate pay information;
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, including HR, payroll, and
- Generate reports or summaries to track progress, document resolutions, and maintain records for audit purposes;
Qualification:
- Must have at least 5 years of Federal HR admin experience
- Must have experience (but are not limited to) use of GSA’s existing application and software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google documents, etc.)
