Essential Functions:

 

Direct real estate projects so that our facilities are well maintained, safe, secure, functional, clean, attractive, up to date, and well taken care of. To provide the pinnacle of service and performance so that our facilities are a source of pride, the lifetimes of our systems are maximized, and our facilities and systems function and appear in accordance with our company guidelines and expectations.  The Facilities Project Coordinator conducts regular visits to all facilities to determine if/when a location needs a major update and brings it to the attention of the Director of Facilities.  The primary focus of this department is to work on real estate projects whether they be a new property acquisition or a renovation of an existing property.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.      To ensure that all facilities are properly maintained regarding routine and emergency repairs, changes, updates to signs, graphics and additions, etc. according to company guidelines and expectations.

2.      Coordinate activities with the Director of Facilities in order to achieve efficiency in department operations.

3.      To assist with new and existing locations regarding permitting, vetting of contractors, utility connects/disconnects, and following up on outside contractors and vendors.

4.      To utilize the work order (ticketing) system to measure and improve facility responsiveness to management concerns.

5.      To improve the overall look and operation of all facilities via improved processes, improved team performance, and ongoing development of self.

  1. To maintain ongoing communication with contractors, clients, and team.

7.      To bring forth ideas and concepts to improve the overall condition and performance of the facilities department and the retail locations (stores and ADC’s) in particular.

8.      To assist with the budgeting process and to abide by budgetary guidelines.

9.      To perform other work-related duties as assigned.

  

Skills and Abilities:

  1.  Must have knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
  2. Must have knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
  3. Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter with strong procurement and negotiation skills.

4.      Must have the ability to tolerate frequent periods of high stress, heavy workload, and multiple priorities.

5.      Must be able to problem solve and make decisions as it relates to real estate projects.

6.      Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.

7.      Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the public.

8.      Must be able to engage in prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.

9.      Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights, and weekends.

10.  Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.

11.  Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.

12.  Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

  1. Must have computer skills.    

 

Requirements:

  1.  High School diploma or GED required.
  2. Technical/trade school certification in maintenance or college degree/military service in management or leadership preferred.
  3. Five years’ maintenance experience required.
  4. Five years’ experience supervising others required.
  5. Must possess a valid driver’s license, liability insurance and use of a properly registered vehicle.


Working Conditions:

 Extreme physical exertion, exposure to inclement weather; exposure to plumbing and water related repairs; use of ladders and working overhead; use of hand and power tools.
