FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

Indianapolis, IN Full-time

Under close supervision, perform general, routine and scheduled maintenance to buildings, hangars, office space and shop equipment

 

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Perform general maintenance of all buildings including hangars and office space.

2.     Maintain all shop equipment in good working order with regards to safety.

3.     Perform Preventative Maintenance duties as assigned.

4.     Install and repairs office partitions, shelving as well as other office equipment.

5.     Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and presentation of hangars and grounds.

6.     Responsible for replacing light bulbs as well as ballasts in light fixtures.

7.     Perform painting of offices as assigned.

8.     Observes company rules and regulations, as well as OSHA safety regulations.

9.     Perform daily morning inspections of grounds and parking lots to include possible landscaping and snow removal.

10.  Represent Facilities on the safety team.

11.   Drive the shuttle bus.

12.  Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. At least one (1) year prior experience in the same or like position.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to perform duties outside and in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
  2. Requires frequent walking.
  3. Requires stretching, bending, and climbing.
  4. Excellent vision and coordination to operate equipment and hand tools.
  5. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  6. May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends to support customer or operational requirements.

The hangar where this position works is in an environment which may have exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues such as fluctuations in temperature. The employee in this position will experience occasional outdoor exposure to heat, cold, and environmental elements.

INTRODUCTORY PERIOD

 

Please note that you will be on a ninety (90) day probation, during which your performance will be evaluated.  Comlux shall periodically review your performance and ability to perform each of the essential functions of your position identified above prior to the expiration of the probationary period.  If you fail to pass the performance review or display behavioral issues or fail to meet expectations for reporting to work on time as scheduled, you shall be considered as having failed to qualify for continued employment during the probationary period, in which case Comlux shall be entitled to immediately terminate your employment.
