Facilities Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY:
This part-time position (~20 hours/week) supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Facility Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, safety, security, and property development of the Foothills Area YMCA facilities. The Facility Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring the proper use of YMCA vehicles and equipment with staff and volunteers. The Facility Coordinator will purchase department supplies, provide inventory updates of supplies/equipment, and monitor the safety/cleanliness of the buildings and grounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Be on-call and prepared to resolve property and equipment emergencies.
● Provides overall coordination of facility maintenance, including planning and developing preventative maintenance.
● Ensures the proper operation of all mechanical systems.
● Completes repair work and projects in a timely manner. Oversees all contractors that work in the facility and grounds. May request and review bids and recommend selection of contractors.
● Works with outside agencies such as fire, health, building depts., etc. to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.
● Advises management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.
● Ensures that assigned vehicles (and other equipment) are maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA.
● Updates facility plans periodically. May develop annual plan of capital projects, consistent with the YMCA’s strategic plan and community needs.
● Provides leadership and support to the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees/boards as assigned. Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the community.
● Accept additional assignments as deemed appropriate, within the scope of the job description.

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Three or more years’ experience in facility management or closely related field.
● Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance-related areas.
● Skills in supervision, budget management and project management.
● CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
● Obtain Certified Pool Operators certification within 120 days of employment
● Ability and current license to drive with record that meets YMCA standards.
