Job Description
Summary:
This position is responsible for fabrication of aluminum and stainless-steel parts, and welding duties, as needed for shop orders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Bends by machine use aluminum or stainless-steel parts, fabricating according to customer orders.
Performs welding duties as required for parts orders per customer specifications.
Fabricates items such as battery boxes, stainless steel tank straps, tread plate aluminum deck plates, using correct measurements, tools, and machinery.
Operates all fabricating and welding machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
Cleans work area at end of day to reduce clutter and safety hazards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma, or GED equivalent needed. Welding certification from an accredited welding school/program required.
Must possess ability to learn/operate shears, press brakes, and forklift truck.
Must maintain a positive attitude, with a customer service focus in a fast-paced work environment.
Should possess ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
Should be detail-oriented, focused, driven, and a self-starter.
Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills a must.
Shifts:
Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri, 10-hour day shifts, Full Time

Working Conditions:
Job will include periods of standing, walking, reaching, stooping/kneeling, and bending. Stair climbing and walking on uneven surfaces will also be present. Subject to heat/cold conditions in warehouse conditions. Moderate use of hands and arms will be needed. May be required to lift to 50 lbs. by self, or team lift to 100 lbs. Use of mechanical lifts required for heavier orders. Heavy duty machinery operation will be required. May be subject to periods of driving a forklift truck.
