Fabrication Task Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Fabrication Task Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to monument fabrication, integration, and readiness throughout the aircraft build process. This includes overseeing the fabrication of monument shells, panel assemblies, finish application, upholstery, systems and harness installation, and preparing monuments for final installation. The role ensures that each monument progresses through all required steps in the correct sequence and is delivered on time to support the overall production schedule. This manager collaborates closely with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams to remove blockers, maintain alignment, and track monument progress. The position also participates in monument reviews and drives continuous process improvement efforts.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Lead and coordinate all fabrication, preparation, and readiness activities for monuments.
2. Oversee sequencing of shell assembly, panel fabrication, finish shop work, and final monument assembly.
3. Work with Systems, Upholstery, and Avionics teams to ensure timely installation of systems and harnesses onto monuments.
4. Monitor parts availability and coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse to prevent delays.
5. Participate in daily coordination meetings and communicate phase status to the broader team.
6. Track progress of monuments through fabrication, assembly, and final preparation.
7. Attend monument reviews to ensure accuracy, readiness, and alignment with design intent.
8. Ensure downstream teams receive complete monuments and ready for installation.
9. Drive resolution of any blockers impacting monument progress.
10. Provide regular updates to Production Leads and Executive Leadership on status and issues.
11. Suggest and implement improvements to enhance production flow, quality, and efficiency.
12. Maintain composure and organization in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
1. High school diploma or equivalent experience.
2. 3+ years in aircraft interiors, monument fabrication, production coordination, or operations support preferred.
3. Understanding monument fabrication including upholstery, avionics, and interior systems is highly desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires a consistent floor presence in the aircraft production area, including hangars, warehouse zones, and staging areas. Must be able to navigate between departments to monitor tasks and drive coordination. Exposure to variable temperatures, noise, and movement of aircraft and parts is expected. Occasional outdoor exposure is required while interacting with field personnel or inspecting readiness conditions.

INTRODUCTORY PERIOD

Comlux shall periodically review your performance and ability to perform each of the essential functions of your position identified above prior to the expiration of the probationary period. If you fail to pass the performance review or display behavioral issues or fail to meet expectations for reporting to work on time as scheduled, you shall be considered as having failed to qualify for continued employment during the probationary period, in which case Comlux shall be entitled to immediately terminate your employment.
