Maintenance Technician - WoodSpring Suites Williston

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at WoodSpring Suites Williston, specializing in our extended stay properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing PTAC systems, including the ability to rebuild them when necessary. Additionally, proficiency in plumbing, electrical work, painting, and familiarity with Onity key card systems is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on PTAC (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner) systems, with the capability to troubleshoot and rebuild units as needed.
• Conduct plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring water systems operate efficiently.
• Handle electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety codes and standards.
• Execute painting tasks and minor renovations to maintain the aesthetic standards of our properties.
• Program and maintain Onity key card systems, ensuring functionality and security for guest access.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, resolving issues efficiently and courteously.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas, identifying maintenance needs and addressing them proactively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and inventory of supplies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in an extended stay or hospitality environment.
• Expertise in PTAC systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and rebuild units independently.
• Proficiency in plumbing repairs, electrical systems, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with Onity key card systems, including programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks in various environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is advantageous.
• Prior experience working with Onity key card systems in a hospitality setting.
