The Housekeeping Inspector supports the Executive Housekeeper and is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet cleanliness and quality standards. The role includes training and supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms, and maintaining guest satisfaction through attention to detail and timely service recovery.
Essential Functions-
Clean guest rooms and bathrooms; train housekeeping staff on proper procedures.

Monitor cleaning times to ensure rooms are completed within the allocated minutes per room.

Inspect rooms daily for quality and cleanliness.

Maintain hallways, common areas, and stairwells.

Promptly and professionally resolve guest concerns.

Complete daily and monthly reports and logs.

Create and manage staff schedules; arrange replacements when needed.

Conduct regular housekeeping staff meetings.

Complete and manage monthly linen inventories.

Ensure all rooms are deep cleaned on a quarterly schedule.

Submit maintenance tickets for any in-room issues, including safety concerns.

Follow all safety procedures to protect guests, team members, and hotel property.

This position oversees housekeepers, housemen, and laundry staff. Reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper.
Work EnvironmentOperates in a hotel environment. Uses standard housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, brooms, laundry machines, chemicals, ozone machines, computers, and calculators.
Physical DemandsMust be able to:

Stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.

Lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.

Communicate clearly with guests and staff.

Must have weekend availability

Weekend work is frequently required.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in the hotel industry.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.
