SCOPE OF WORK
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to deliver excellent Guest experience while evaluating guest satisfaction and setting department targets and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee Housekeeping Operations.
- Oversee Laundry Operations
- Evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensure everyone in the department is trained and utilizing brand operating system on a daily basis.
- Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules.
- Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures.
- Inspect, regularly, all fixtures, fittings, and appliances to ensure compliance with standards and take action as necessary to conform to standard.
- Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Housekeeping/Laundry Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
- Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities.
- Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers.
- Ensure staffing levels cover business demands.
- Ensure ongoing training.
- Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated.
- Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Recruit, manage, train, and develop the Housekeeping/Laundry team.
- Competent in property management systems.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary.
- Follow and adhere to all standards and regulations set forth by brand requirements and as directed by management.
- Be a Brand Ambassador of A&R’s Culture, Mission, and Values.
- Ensures all guests are treated in an efficient and courteous manner and that all Company standards are applied.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Housekeeping/laundry experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- A successful track record of managing a large team.
- A high school certificate or equivalent.
- High level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities.
- Previous experience of managing a department and Profit and Loss account desirable.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
- Excellent grooming standards.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
- Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, budget management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
- Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
- Must be able to stand for periods of time.
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
- Ability to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows, and hands (below waist and overhead movements).
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently.
