We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Director to lead our small, but thriving Assisted Living Facility. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation and management of the facility, ensuring high-quality resident care, staff management, financial health, regulatory compliance, and fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an Executive Director and ideally be familiar with the local community. Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility, including staff scheduling, resident care services, and activity programs.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents and promptly address any concerns.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations relevant to assisted living facilities.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, hire, and train qualified staff members for all departments.

  • Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and offer development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

  • Address staff concerns and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop, manage, and monitor the facility’s budget to ensure financial stability.

  • Review revenue and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and improved efficiency.

  • Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders.

Resident Care and Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with residents and their families, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.

  • Assess individual resident needs and develop personalized care plans.

  • Implement programs and activities that enhance residents’ well-being and social engagement.

Community Relations:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with local community organizations, healthcare providers, and external partners.

  • Promote the facility to potential residents and families through outreach and marketing efforts.

  • Uphold a positive reputation for the facility within the local community.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Implement procedures to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies effectively.

  • Manage risk situations and ensure the safety of residents and staff at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field.

  • Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA) or similar certification (depending on state requirements).

  • At least 3 years of experience in senior living management, preferably in an assisted living setting.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families, and staff.

  • Demonstrated financial management expertise with experience developing and managing budgets.

  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Local area knowledge is a plus.
