Plumbing Excavator
Position Responsibilities Include Excavator To:
· Able to work long hours outside in all seasons of weather
· Able to operate heavy equipment following safety guidelines in residential and commercial settings
· Carry tools, materials, and equipment and clean up the work area when the job is complete
· Tasks include but are not limited to operating equipment, driving equipment to and from job sites, using sewer cleaning equipment, leading and coordinating with other workers to determine to dig sites and run jobs
· Experience installing and making final connections of sewer and water lines
· Use of personal protective safety gear, following company safety practices at all times
· Clean, organize, locate, load, and maintain stocked items in vans
· Properly use and store all equipment & tools
· Maintain trucks and equipment by keeping them in stock and clean
· Maintain and improve shop cleanliness, organization, and flow
· Verify and put away incoming stocked & upcoming job parts
· Keep all stocked & upcoming job parts organized, labeled, and in the proper location
· Able to work in awkward positions in different situations like in crawl spaces, and deep ditches sometimes working alone for extended periods
· Available and willing to work some nights, weekends, and long hours while On-Call
· Physically able to perform heavy lifting
· Pick up & deliver parts/materials as needed
· Be willing to do whatever you are asked to do at any time with a positive can-do attitude
Requirements:
· Must be proficient in an excavation in general with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience (Experience with excavation in the plumbing field a plus)
· CDL required
· Have at least a High School Diploma/GED
· Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving and background record
· Have reliable transportation, and live within 25 miles of the City of Delaware
