Events Security
Starting pay $15 an hour
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- has a high school diploma or equivalent
- has dependable transportation
- must be able to pass an extensive background check
- has military service (not required, but preferred)
- previous security experience (not required, but preferred)
- must be great with people
Typical Duties include:
- Guest Screening – Check in guests and request they empty pockets, show contents. Ensure prohibited items do not enter the event space. Direct them to the metal detector and use a wand to scan them if necessary.
- Access & Crowd Control - Maintain presence at key areas to prevent unauthorized persons entering. Checking patron credentials. Ensuring alcoholic beverages do not leave approved areas.
- Traffic – Stand outside ensuring traffic and transportation vendors are in the proper place for pedestrians to traverse safely.
