Evening Laundry Aide

Day in the Life of a Laundry Aide:
- Collect linens, bedding, and residents’ personal laundry, sorting by fabric type and washing requirements. Load industrial washers and ensure proper detergent and sanitization settings.
- Transfer clean items to dryers, fold and distribute fresh linens to resident rooms and supply closets. Address any special laundry request from staff or residents and ensure proper labeling of personal clothing.
- Perform quality checks on laundry items, ensure all deliveries are completed, clean and maintain laundry equipment, and prepare supplies for the next shift.
Requirements/To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to move (sit, stand, bend, lift)
- Capability to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Prior Laundry or Housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Awareness and adherence to union policies and procedures.
