ERP Specialist

We are seeking an on-site ERP Specialist with strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and a solid understanding of the cannabis industry. This role will be responsible for day-to-day support, troubleshooting, configuration, and continuous improvement of our ERP system to meet the operational needs of a regulated cannabis business. The ideal candidate will bridge technical expertise with deep knowledge of cannabis manufacturing workflows. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support for 70-100 Business Central users across Supply Chain, Finance, Production, Cultivation departments. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP issues, including configuration errors, workflow bugs, and third-party integrations, with a focus on root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.  

  • Participate in Dynamics 365 ERP related projects, including system rollouts, new module implementations, and integrations with platforms such as SQL databases, Azure. 

  • Provide input for business process improvements aligned with ERP capabilities. 

  • Assist in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of structured data extracted from multiple ERP tables. 

  • Create data validation checkpoints and rules tailored to each department using the ERP. 

  • Share checkpoint frameworks and findings with the Information Systems Manager. 

  • Identify and flag data entry errors in real time and take corrective action to preserve data quality. 

  • Train end users on ERP functionality, data entry best practices, and validation workflows. 

  • Document processes, training materials, and recurring issue resolutions using Microsoft Word, Visio, Isolocity, and Freshworks to support ongoing system use and knowledge sharing. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. 

  • Strong understanding of core ERP processes – Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales. 

  • Strong understanding of cannabis operations, seed-to-sale cycle. 

  • Experience in ERP support or administration in a manufacturing or inventory-intensive environment, preferably in cannabis or CPG. 

  • Experience with Business Central integration tools, APIs, and related ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Acumatica, and Sage. 

  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues. 

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. 

  • Ability to train and support non-technical users. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with Business Central Cloud, Agriware 365 Business Essentials, and similar Microsoft Dynamics 365 AppSource extensions. 

  • Experience working with Business Central Web Services and Reports. 

  • Knowledge of Business Central data migration tools and processes. 

  • Understanding of Azure, SQL Server, and Office 365 integration.
