Wood Resources is a provider of marine towing, ship mooring, dredging, as well as construction and landscaping materials.
Position Summary:
Equipment operators are responsible for the safe operation of front-end loaders and excavators. Must be able to work in Algiers, Harahan, Waggaman, Donaldsonville and Hahnville.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use front end loader or excavator to load materials
- Complete daily equipment inspections
- Communicate with customers and employees
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations while performing duties
Job Requirements:
- Adhere to company attendance policy
- Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Must have reliable transportation to designated Wood Resources locations
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- 1-3 years of experience
Physical Requirements:
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, breath alcohol and physical
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting (8+ hours)
- Moderate -High noise levels
