Summary

Performs routine building cleaning under supervision, including but not limited to mopping, dusting, and sweeping, trash removal, window cleaning, disinfecting patient rooms, cleaning laboratories, and interacting with patient in a hospital environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

PRE-OP / PACU / INPATIENT AREAS/ PHARMACY/MED SURG    

          DAILY                                                                                                                                                   

Ø  Remove all trash, linens, and red bags as needed.

Ø  Wipe down sink, countertops, desk, tables, and chairs.

Ø  Mop entire area daily.

Ø  Clean bedside tables daily.

Ø  Detail/clean bathrooms.

Ø  Clean sinks and counters several times a day.

Ø  Clean toilets several times a day.

Ø  Restock toilet tissue and paper towels several times a day.

Ø  Check for overall cleanliness.

Ø  Mop entire bathroom.

Ø  Turn off all lights.

 

          TWICE A WEEK                                                                                                                                 

Ø  Clean windows.

Ø  Dust everything in all areas.

 

 DAILY                                                                                                                                                

Ø  Check paper supplies/soaps/bags.

 

ENDOSCOPY / PRE-OP ROOM

          DAILY                                                                                                                                                   

Ø  Remove all trash.

Ø  Mop entire area daily.

Ø  Turn off all lights.

Ø  Change black rugs once a week.                       

 

          TWICE A WEEK                                                                                                                                 

Ø  Dust equipment, signs, picture frames.                         

                     

          ONCE A WEEK                                                                                                                                   

Ø  Clean all windows/ doors.

 

FRONT LOBBY AREA

SEATING AREA                                                                                                                 

Ø  Check waiting room for cleanliness and straighten magazines several times a day.

Ø  Dust tables, pictures, lights, and signs daily.

Ø  Vacuum floor daily.

Ø  Sweep and mop tiled area daily.

 

ENTRANCE                                                                                                                                         

Ø  Sweep outside entry and pick up trash.

Ø  Empty and clean ashtrays.

Ø  Empty trash.

 

COFFEE BAR                                                                                                                                       

Ø  Remove trash.

Ø  Clean countertop and sink several times a day.

Ø  Mop floor.

 

WAITING AREA RESTROOMS                                                                                                      

Ø  Check paper towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers several times a day and refill as needed.

Ø  Detail clean daily.

        - Clean toilets, sinks, and counters.

        - mop floor.

 

BUSINESS OFFICE / ADMINISTRATION OFFICE

                DAILY   

Ø  Remove all trash daily.

Ø  Turn off all lights.

     

      TWICE A WEEK

Ø  Dust chairs, pictures, cabinets, windowsills.

Ø  Dust and wipe down desks and countertops.

 

      ONCE A WEEK

Ø  Clean Business Office interior windows.

Ø  Vacuum

 

LOCKER ROOMS

      DAILY

Ø  Clean sinks, countertops, and toilets.

Ø  Check toilet tissue, paper towels, and soap.

Ø  Vacuum entire area.

Ø  Mop bathroom floors.

Ø  Turn off all lights.

Ø  Empty trash.                                                                                                                               

Ø  Empty scrubs.

 

LOUNGE and REAR ENTRY AREA

                 DAILY                                                                                                                                                  

Ø  Remove all trash.    

Ø  Clean sinks, countertops, tables.

Ø  Straighten chairs, tables, magazines, counters, etc.

Ø  Mop kitchen floor and rear entry floors.

Ø  Turn off all lights.

 

TWICE A WEEK                                                                                                                 

Ø  Clean rear entry windows.                                                  

 

MISCELLANEOUS                                                                                                                             

Ø  Remove all trash from building daily.

Ø  Dust/wipe down all phones daily.

Ø  Place orders for supplies as necessary.

 

EXTERIOR OF FACILITY                                                                                                                  

Ø  Keep free of debris.

Ø  Keep dumpster area clean and gates closed.

Ø  Empty trash cans as needed.

Ø  Clean all windows and doors as needed.
