Environmental Services - Maintenance Assistant - Day Shift, Full-Time
Summary
Under the direction of the Administrator / Maintenance Supervisor:
- Responsible for the safety, security, and general maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds
- Performs tasks / duties as assigned, including but not limited to installations, repairs, and routine maintenance involving: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), drywall, painting, landscaping, and snow removal
- Ensures all OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory standards are followed at all times
- Prioritizes tasks based on resident and employee safety & security, working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and outside contractors (as needed) to ensure timely and efficient job completion
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Administrator / Maintenance Supervisor
Qualifications / Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, along with maintenance experience / working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing systems
- Must possess knowledge of building codes and safety regulations and standards, including but not limited to: fire safety, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) design, installation, maintenance, and operation, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in a long-term care (LTC) environment
- Must be self-motivated, possessing organization and time-management skills in order to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
- Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable

Job-Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift, Flexible Scheduling; will cross-train as a Transportation Assistant/Driver
Wage Range*: $19.00/hr-$21.50/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
Years of Experience Incentive Pay:
$0.15/per year, up to ten (10) years
Weekend Differential: $1.00/hr
