Environmental Services - Housekeeping/Laundry - Day Shift, Part-Time / Variable (PRN)
Summary
Under the direction of the Administrator or Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor:
- Follows safe and efficient cleaning procedures to ensure all areas of the care center are maintained according to regulatory and infection control standards
- Follows safe and sanitary laundry procedures to ensure all clothing/linens are cared for in an appropriate and efficient manner
- Safely and appropriately prepares, uses, stores, labels, and disposes of commercial cleaning and laundry products/chemicals and supplies
- Utilizes and maintains all commercial cleaning and laundry equipment properly and safely, following the operating manual instructions per manufacturer guidelines
- Interacts with team members, residents/tenants in a positive manner, accommodating daily schedules as possible, along with ensuring that clothing and other personal items are delivered and accounted for in a timely manner
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Administrator or Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor
Qualifications / Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Must have knowledge and understanding of healthcare standards related to cleanliness, sanitation, disinfecting, and infection control
- Must be self-motivated, possessing organization and time-management skills in order to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Must have good oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
- Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
