Entry-Level Surety Bond Associate
Our firm is partnering with a well-established surety bond company in New Orleans to recruit for an Entry-Level Surety Bond Account Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-service–oriented professional looking to build a long-term career in the insurance and financial services industry, with a clear path toward becoming a licensed surety bond broker.
Position Overview
This role supports the company’s logistics and operations team and assists in managing a portfolio of approximately 4,000 active bonds. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with clients, staying organized, and learning a specialized business from the ground up. After gaining operational experience, the role offers the opportunity to move into a production and business development position.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly invoicing and collections for active surety bonds
- Maintain accurate bond, client, and account records
- Issue new bonds following established procedures
- Field client inquiries regarding billing, bond status, and renewals
- Assist with bond claims intake and coordination
- Support account maintenance, renewals, and compliance tracking
- Learn the fundamentals of surety bond operations and underwriting
- Transition into a new business / production role over time
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Comfortable handling invoicing, collections, and account-related tasks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required)
- Interest in a long-term career in insurance or surety bonding
Prior insurance or surety experience is not required. Training is provided.
