Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-volume inventory in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a commitment to accuracy. This role is critical to ensuring accurate stock levels, minimizing shrinkage, and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all storage locations using inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Ensure all inventory is clearly labeled and correctly identified in both the system and in physical storage locations.
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in a timely and thorough manner.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock; verify accuracy against purchase orders.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory or overstock situations.
- Organize and label inventory in a clear, logical, and accessible manner to align with system records.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure inventory needs are met.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances with a high level of urgency and accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and scanners.
- Assist in physical inventory counts and audits, ensuring alignment with digital records.
- Perform accurate measurements of seals and other components using both metric and standard tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Utilize basic math skills for measurement conversions, quantity checks, and inventory adjustments.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the inventory area.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Demonstrated experience keeping both physical inventory and digital records accurately labeled and matched.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability in fast-moving operations.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of the difference between metric and standard measurements is required.
- Comfortable using precision tools to measure seals and parts in both measurement systems.
- Basic math skills required, including working with fractions, decimals, and unit conversions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
- Basic hydraulic knowledge is a plus but not required.
