JOB DESCRIPTION
ENGINEER INTERN (Mechanical or Electrical)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The engineer intern supports design, documentation, and installation tasks on Transport Category Aircraft for the installation of VIP interiors. The intern will be responsible for creating design data in support of mechanical systems modifications to aircraft. Intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers. Intern will provide support to manufacturing teams working on aircraft at the Comlux facility.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Creates and updates designs for interior completions in accordance with aircraft manufacturer guidelines and engineering best practices.
· Interfaces with structural, mechanical systems, interior, avionics and electrical design engineers to ensure certifiable designs in support of Interior Modification STC’s for Large Transport Category Aircraft (14 CFR Part 25)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
· Pursuit of BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering required
· Regular attendance is required per agreed-upon schedule accommodating coursework.
· Must have a positive attitude.
· Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located.
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver License and a record that meets Comlux insurance standards.
· Must pass background check.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Ability to document design and installation clearly and concisely.
· Proficient with the following software:
o Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
o AutoCAD
o SolidWorks
· Ability to interact with wide range of customer groups, both internal and external
· Ability to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner.
· Excellent oral and written skills, as well as strong analytical abilities
· Results oriented.
· Ability to work in team environment.
· Ability to prioritize workload.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

· The noise level is usually quiet; at times a Hangar environment.
