Key Accountabilities:

1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a three-year department growth plan, targeting a 20% annual increase in revenue and expanding our client base by 15%.
2. Operational Excellence: Ensure 90% of projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards through robust resource planning and process improvements.
3. Team Development: Build a high-performing team by improving employee retention rates and creating clear career development paths for all staff.
4. Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Achieve a 95% client satisfaction score by fostering strong partnerships and delivering innovative solutions tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the department to achieve operational goals and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce project timelines, and boost profitability.
• Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and stakeholders, ensuring expectations are exceeded.
• Monitor and manage budgets, resource allocation, and project milestones to deliver consistent results.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent to build a cohesive and motivated engineering team.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging creative problem-solving and continuous learning.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

• Leads the Civil Department team up to 20 people, with varying positions including Project Managers, Design Engineers, and Civil Designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil land development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proven track record of managing complex projects with measurable success.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds at a time. 

The Position:

The Engineering Department Manager position is a full-time, salaried exempt position working onsite with flexible and hybrid schedule work options.

The salary range for this role is: $140,000 - $180,000/annually
