Key Accountabilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a three-year department growth plan, targeting a 20% annual increase in revenue and expanding our client base by 15%.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure 90% of projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards through robust resource planning and process improvements.
- Team Development: Build a high-performing team by improving employee retention rates and creating clear career development paths for all staff.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Achieve a 95% client satisfaction score by fostering strong partnerships and delivering innovative solutions tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the department to achieve operational goals and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce project timelines, and boost profitability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and stakeholders, ensuring expectations are exceeded.
- Monitor and manage budgets, resource allocation, and project milestones to deliver consistent results.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent to build a cohesive and motivated engineering team.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging creative problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties
- Leads the Civil Department team up to 20 people, with varying positions including Project Managers, Design Engineers, and Civil Designers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil land development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with measurable success.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds at a time.
The Position:
The Engineering Department Manager position is a full-time, salaried exempt position working onsite with flexible and hybrid schedule work options.
The salary range for this role is: $140,000 - $180,000/annually
