Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract / Travel

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is ideal for nurses with GI/endoscopy experience who are looking for a local contract or travel opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
• Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, and other GI procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Administer and monitor sedation, assess patient responses, and maintain patient safety.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout procedures and recovery.
• Maintain strict infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Accurately document procedures, assessments, and patient care in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other members of the endoscopy team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Recent Endoscopy/GI Lab nursing experience.
• EMR experience required, with ability to chart accurately in a GI/endoscopy environment.
• BLS certification (AHA required).
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to remain focused and calm in fast-paced procedural settings.

Contract Details:

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
• Status: Contract position – not a permanent full-time role
• Travel nurses welcome – travel packages available
