Paramedic Instructor
Role Summary:
The role of the Paramedic Instructor is to guide the EMT or Paramedic students through the practical skills sessions of the program.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all students are taught skills properly
- Maintains consistency and conformity when demonstrating skills
- Supervise students during skill practice sessions to maximize practice time and minimize lecture time
- Be a good role model for students
- Bring problems to the attention of their immediate supervisor
- Be an objective evaluator for the skill examinations and evaluations
- Maintains records of students performance and activities during skill sessions
- Maintains knowledge of program goals
- Maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development
Clinical Experience
- Two years of clinical experience in the professional discipline, preferred
Education Requirements
- HS Diploma, required
- Bachelors Degree, preferred

- NYS CLI
- NYS CIC
- PHTLS Instructor
- AHA BCLS Instructor
- AHA ACLS Instructor
- AHA PALS Instructor
