Employee Benefits Producer
CH Insurance, an independent insurance agency is seeking an Employee Benefits Producer. We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused individual to manage and grow relationships with our group benefits clients. The ideal candidate will have strong connections to the Central New York Community, experienced in all social media platforms, have a background in employee benefits, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide proactive, consultative service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary client service contact, coordinating with brokers, vendors, carriers, and other parties to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
- Prospect and develop new business through networking, referrals, cold calling, and other lead generation methods.
- Conduct thorough needs analyses and recommend tailored benefit solutions.
- Collaborate with internal account management and service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client support.
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned accounts, including renewals, benefit changes, and new plan implementations.
- Assist in planning and supporting client meetings, including off-site events, enrollment sessions, and benefit/wellness fairs.
- Ensure all client communications, including emails, are addressed within 24 hours and documented accurately in the agency management system.
- Advise clients on claims, billing, eligibility, and compliance with federal/state laws (e.g., COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA).
- Coordinate enrollment logistics, confirming dates and involving vendors as needed to meet required timelines.
- Represent CH Benefits professionally at industry events, client meetings, and community functions.
- Maintain and update accurate client data in the agency systems while generating necessary communications and documentation.
- Meet all agency licensing and enrollment timeline requirements, staying compliant with internal and external guidelines.
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and regulations, and contribute positively to team and agency goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Standards:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in employee benefits or insurance.
- Proven ability to generate new business and build strong client relationships.
- NYS Life, Accident & Health license preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Valid NYS Drivers License and vehicle dependable vehicle required
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
- Strong consultative sales and presentation skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities
