Job Description:

Emergency Medicine Physician at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center campus in Jackson MS.

The physician shall be Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician Services for on site and must be able to successfully address the standard spectrum of emergency medicine patient presentations expected in an ED setting. (There are no pediatrics or trauma patients.)

Requirements:

· Any state medical license

· Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine

· 2 years of substantial recent (i.e. within the past 5 years) experience working in an Emergency Department (ED) setting and must be able to successfully address the standard spectrum of emergency medicine patient presentations expected in an ED setting •

· DEA and Controlled Substance Licensed

· Current BLS & ACLS life support certifications

· Provide 3 references
